With a line up as great as this one every person who came expect nothing but greatness and this is exactly what they got. With acts like Maylene Sons of Disaster, Poison the Well, and Every Time I Die opening the show the anticipation welling up before Underoath was huge.
Starting the night out with the Southern Rockers, Maylene Sons of Disaster, with high energy and fist pounding in the air. The whole band was throwing tons of merch into the crowd making all the kids jump and ending there performance with the whole band jumping in to the crowd and the lead singer, Dallas Taylor, doing a full on flip.
Continuing the night with Poison the well the head banging band keep the vitality going with their roaring guitars.
By the time Every Time I Die reached the stage the assembly of people were almost busting at the seems. The band got the crowd jumping and challenged people to create 4 mosh pits but only 3 were able to pull through but not for lack of effort. One fan even took a giant leap off the tallest amp straight into the crowd. Every Time I Die held up to there reputation having an amazing show getting everyone involved.
Ending the night with the band everyone was waiting for Underoath was up to the challenge that there tour mate proposed, opening four pits to break the record for the night. The movie, silent film background constantly rolling and the amazing sound track of Underoath playing live. Even though Drummer, Aaron Gillespie, was out for the night due to surgery on his hurt finger his fill in Kenny Bozich, the drummer from his other band The Almost, did a wonderful job and fit in perfectly. Underoath was every thing anyone could have hoped for the night and much more. Many of the kids raved as they walked out the double doors of Soma, that the show was one they would never be forgotten.
