Endwell - Homeland Insecurity CD Review
By Sarah Boger (Sarah@bandvibe.com)

This debut album from the 5 member New York based band is an eclectic mix of speed metal guitars, screaming vocals, melodic vocals and lyrics with an emo taste. The raw uneasy mix of melodic singing and the outright hardcore screams are not quite on spot. Some parts you would like the song to get more intense, like with ‘Goodbyes Are Always Coldest In December’, but they back off and it almost feels incomplete. The broad uses of tone and melody show that they know what they're doing when it comes to hardcore riffs and screamo growls and the emo lyrics saturated with emotion, but maybe they were a little too ambitious with their first record.
