The third album from the Arizona based Broken Poets is a beautifully written album filled with song that are melodic in their sadness that flows from the piano and moody vocals. Each song is heavy with emotion that is apparent with lyrics like ‘but this dream won’t bring me home’ and ‘I should have known that I’d be here again, up here waiting for this plane to fall.’ As with the tradition of all Broken Poet albums this one is crafted well with melody and strong vocals that back soulful lyrics. You can see the influence that songwriter, singer and guitarist, Tim McDonald has pulled from 60’s and 70’s rock, creating his own brand of modern alternative rock.
