To hear angst and sadness come out of Seattle Washington is nothing new. Aiden, the 5 piece Gothic/Rock ‘n Roll band has some deep roots in the Seattle sound. They open their fourth album from Victory Records has a sweet sing songy feeling that then gives way to the Gothic sound of the second track ‘She Will Love You’. This album is filled with colorful lyrics and precisely placed distortion. ‘These walls are painted red, she put a bullet in her head, goodbye goodbye goodbye is all she said.’ & 'I can see through a lifetime of wretched demise and these words can’t hurt me’ are just a couple examples of the lyrics that almost flow like poetry through the album, There are times when the backing vocals don’t quite match with the feeling or tone of the song and they seem a little over anxious on some guitar riffs but all in all this is a great album, if not only for the musical quality, the album art is really bitchin’.
