JENNY L: How is this music different then Sneaker Pimps?
CHRIS: IAMX is different then Sneaker Pimps because it's more of a personal expression, it's true, real with playful emotions. It's more open to experiment doing music solo and it gives me a chance to play around and explore myself. It's an opportunity to explore my creative side and live with no regrets.

JENNY L: You started music at an early age. How has that affected you?
CHRIS: It made me who I am today. There was some social anxiety, but it was therapeutic being on stage around 15 and 16. In my early 20's, I understood a bit of a mess was a good mess.

JENNY L: Tell me about "home taping".
CHRIS: The concept started at a club in London with where people got together and to make tapes of a few songs. Jennifer Aniston made a tape and what ought to be cool was awful.

JENNY L: What does it mean it's a sin to kiss and swallow?
CHRIS: It's not literal; it's a feeling of not guilt, but deviance. Sexual, artistic relationships,.

JENNY L: Where does your inspiration come from?
CHRIS: Inspiration for me comes from blindly taking things in. Culture, music, relationships, sex.

JENNY L: You've said IAMX is very different than your real personality. How so?
CHRIS: That’s a misquote. It's an extreme side of me. It feels like there a real schizo bringing out a side that has to come out.

JENNY L: Is your music and lyrics life experiences?
CHRIS: Fantasy and fact. It's a combination of real life, and abstract fiction. My music rocks in an abstract way. I get on stage and destroy. Push to the next phase. Going to the extreme. It has to be how I felt. Not to literal but with lyrics that set a mood, an atmosphere.

JENNY L: What’s your ultimate goal being a musician?
CHRIS: To come out in different ways. There’s so much shit I want to do in the next 20 years.
