Sarah: How did you guys get together and start the band?
Jag: I wasn't in the band when they started, but they all met in high school. Started playing in punk rock bands and then slowly drifted into this genre of music.
Sarah: Where did you come up with you name?
Jag: It was a good friend that came up with it and thought it was cool so they stuck with the name.
Sarah: What inspired you to make music?
Jag: Kiss. They are the only reason I got into music. Listening to them, I wanted to get into this business and made it a point to just go straight after it once I realized this is what I wanted.
Sarah: Have you ever been on Warped Tour before? What are you most looking forward to and why?
Jag: This is our first time being on Warped, Its different then being on any other tour. Meeting a ton of new people and getting the exposure that comes with being on this kind of tour is amazing. This was a tour we grew up going to and dreamed of being on one day.
Sarah: What is your favorite song to play live?
Jag: Either “I'm not a thief, I'm a treasure hunter” or “Wires and the concept of breathing”.
Sarah: How do you know when you've had a good show?
Jag: When I hear myself do a good show.
Sarah: What do you think you would be doing for a living if you were not a musician?
Jag: I was really good at soccer, so I would probably be a soccer player. I had to choose in high school to either play soccer and go to practice after school or just play music. Soccer would have taken all my time so I decided against soccer.
Sarah: What is your favorite place you've played and where would like to see yourself play in the future?
Jag: Soma Main Stage (San Diego, CA), its always amazing the kids are always great there and its always fun to play.
Sarah: So you released your album, "Adelphia", recently was there any specific direction you were planning to go with it?
Jag: We didn't really have a planned direction, we just started writing music. I know I wanted to change up my range cause on wires I just had a primarily higher range and I wanted to display all that I could do on this album.
Sarah: How is it different for your previous album?
Jag: Everything about it is more technical and grown up. Its just shows a lot more musicianship and our growth and basically shows how much better we have gotten.
Sarah: Are you happy with the outcome of the album and feed back you have gotten from it?
Jag: I am very happy with it.
Sarah: Can we expect to see a video for a song from the new album anytime soon?
Jag: Yah, we actually just filmed one for “These cannons could sink a ship”.
Sarah: What is the craziest thing that has happened to you on tour?
Jag: I don't know, I think bad things come to mind first. There was one date on the last tour that, I have nothing against Christians, but a bunch of strong Christians couldn't get into our show. And so they took it out on the band members they could find outside, and the main one was our drummer, Corey. He said “oh god” to something like this is so ridiculous and one of them ripped their shirt off and jumped on Corey and some of the other members jumped in. It turned out to be a big brawl and some people got arrested. I wasn't in the brawl, but I was trying to alleviate it and say ‘I am sorry the shows sold out and you can't get in but there is nothing we can do about it.’
Sarah: What do you think makes your music different and stand out from other bands?
Jag: I don't know, when I listen to our music I just don't think it sounds like anything else. Kids are either gonna like it or talk crap on it and after a while it will just get stuck in there heads and they will like it.
Sarah: Where would you like to see yourself in a year?
Jag: Hopefully playing Warped Tour again.
Sarah: Anything else you would like to say?
Jag: Just keep listening to our music and buying albums and stuff.
