BV: So when did your band start?
Alex: We started about 4 years ago. It was our freshman year of high school, and we started playing at parties and shit like that.

BV: So you all met in High School?
Alex: Jack and I, he’s the other guitarist, actually met in Middle School, when we were like 14, and we would hang out together all the time. Then we met Rian who was an awesome drummer. Then we found Zack, who is the bassist. Then we just started playing shows at our friend’s parties and stuff and it just kind of spiraled down from there.

BV: How did you come up with the band name?
Alex: It is completely stolen from New Found Glory because they were one of the biggest influences for us when we were growing up.

BV: So now that you are on Warped Tour with them what is it like?
Alex: It’s amazing. It was pretty funny, we were all sitting around and we were just like, “Oh yeah we stole our name from you”. It is definitely a hats off to the band.

BV: When can we expect another CD from you guys?
Alex: September 25th.

BV: So why did you choose Jasey Rae as the song for Punk Goes Acoustic 2?
Alex: I don’t know, we just felt it would translate well. We wanted to pick an upbeat one, not a slow song, you know? And so we just replaced the lead guitar with piano and that’s what we got.

BV: Oh well it’s a beautiful song, definitely one of my favorite songs off the album.
Alex: Aw, thank you so much.

BV: So is Jasey Rae a real person?
Alex: Yes, she is.

BV: Why did you write a song about her?
Alex: Um, well, uh various reasons…it’s more of an apology than anything else.

BV: If you were stranded on an island what two things would you bring with you?
Alex: Those girls right there because they can probably climb trees really well; they would be in charge of getting the fruit and an ipod.

BV: What was it like being a part of Punk Goes Acoustic 2?
Alex: It was really cool, but really weird at the same time. For years, we had followed the “Punk Goes” series, so being asked to be on it was amazing, but it didn’t click all the way. I mean all the sudden we were a part of something we had grown up listening to.

BV: What do you think sets you guys apart from the other bands just starting out?
Alex: We play better…just kidding.

BV: So how does this compare to last year?
Alex: Its very different. Last year, we only did about ten days and we were in our van and this year we are on all the dates and we have a bus. It’s really cool. We’re extremely busy, but I’m having fun.
