BAND: Foil
INTERVIEWED BY: ChrisP@bandvibe.com

1. Where does the name FOIL come from, what influenced the name?
FOIL means something different for each person, and that's the way we like it! But as far as OUR meaning?....hmmm, who knows?

2. Who are the members of the band / what instuments do they play?
Isaac "I-Ball" Rauscher-guitar
Bob Landry-bass
Sir Patrick Mack-lead vocals
FOIL is currently working with drummer Calvin Lakin.

3. Who are your musical influences?
U2, Incubus, Tool, Chili Peppers, Faith No more, Queensryche...William Hung

4. What are your songs about?
Mostly about the human condition in general; finding yourself, getting lost on the way. We try to keep a positive spin on things, as there seems to be plenty of dismal issues in the news today.

5. There seems to be lot of interest generated on myspace about your private areas, do you have any comments?
I'm afraid some things just need to be private. Come say Hi to us after a show and you'll find us quite engaging!

6. Is myspace a wonderful way to create a fanbase or a wonderful way to waste time?
It's a bit of both. It can be high maintenance at times, but we've come into contact with some great people. I'm afraid some people are computer people, and some are not. But overall, I think we are thankful for the opportunity to get fans more involved, and to interact with them.

7. What can we expect from a FOIL live experience?
PASSION! It's a really unique vibe, because we really see ourselves as a show band, not a bar band, so we really try to work the stage and give people the most bang for the buck. It's very dynamic, and we like when the crowd just gets enveloped in it with us. It's what we live for!

8. What can we expect from FOIL in the future?
We are about halfway done with our second full length album. Most of our playing right now is in L.A., but we hope to get out more in S.D. for the summer. We also have an acoustic album in the early stages, although it is mostly just tracking. The full length should be out by summer, if all goes well. We are back at Kings Ransom Studios and working with our producer Jeff Sers, from Groove 33 Records. so far the album is sounding HUGE! we are real grateful to be recording with drummer, Calvin Lakin. His tracks came out great, so we are really looking to take a good step forward with this one. Come check us out in a venue near you!
