BIO:

Hailing from the San Diegan suburbs of Vista, CA, the four known as Flight Risk blend sounds and principles of punk with driving metal guitar riffs, powerful percussion, and melodies that range from soothing to sinister. After forming in 2002, the band’s special recipe of melodic hardcore has granted them immediate attention in town and out.

This is a culmination of exceptional musicians who have all been studying, recording, and performing music since their early youth. They have all studied a variety of instruments and played in a number of other bands, such as Userfriendly (who was featured on the Vans Warped Tour from 1999 to 2001 without any label support), Strikes & Gutters, Arneson, Sic Waiting, The Essentials, Shopping Kart Assassins, Only Us, and endless other projects.

With the van packed to the ceiling, they have been hitting the road on weekdays, weekends, holidays, leap year, and any other chance they have gotten over the years. With the release of their first EP this summer on Whiskey Records, they are planning an audio assault that will end only when no stereo is left empty and no eardrum is left unscarred.

• Release of debut EP entitled: The Point of Breaking on Tuesday, August 30th (Whiskey Records, with distribution through Cargo Music).
• Club sells out during CD release show at Squid Joe’s in Carlsbad, CA.
• Release show pics featured in the San Diego section on BANDVIBE.COM
• Music featured on Adrenalina TV.
• Featured in No Cover Magazine’s Band Watch in September issue.
• Music played on Rock105.3 and Interview with Norm of “Another State of Mind” show on Sunday, September 18th.
• Music played on San Diego’s 94.9 local show.
• West coast tour booked in November includes shows in Phoenix, Vegas, Reno, Frisco, Chico, Santa Barbera, Oregon, Seattle, Bakersfield, and more.
• Tour ends with a performance at Freak Fest on November 19th at the North Orange Show Event Center in San Bernardino, with one last home coming gig in North County.
